Herb Brush for Basting

Although all garnishes should be edible, this little tip will show you a functional garnish. If your meal has a sauce or glaze, you might wish to place the tip of this herb basting brush along side.

Your guests can then use the brush to baste the food as they see fit. Make sure that it is composed of herbs compatible with the sauce. As the brush rests in it, the sauce will slowly infuse some of its flavor.

Herbs right from the garden are best. Rosemary is pictured here but you could use sage, thyme, dill or tarragon.

Instructions

Gather a small group of fresh herbs and use one chive blade to bind your brush together. Gently knot it at the back.
