Here's a simple, yummy contribution
kids can make to your next Sunday dinner.
For a creamier potato add two an
additional 2 tablespoons of butter.
2 pounds Yukon gold potatoes
salt to taste
1 cup milk or cream (cream is better!)
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
2 tablespoon finely chopped mixed fresh herbs (parsley,
chives, tarragon etc.). Watch out for little fingers
during the chopping!
In large pot, cook potatoes in
enough water to cover approximately 15 minutes or
until tender.
Place milk in a small saucepan
over medium-high heat.
Drain the potatoes and give them
a quick mash
Using a whisk add butter and hot
milk.
Stir potatoes with a wooden spoon
until smooth.
Mix in salt, pepper and herbs.
