Yaki
Grilled, toasted

Yakimono
The Japanese term for foods (usually meat) that are grilled, broiled or pan-fried.

Yalanci Dolma
Viine leaves stuffed with rice, onions, and tomatoes.

Yam
All purpose term for yellow-orange tubers.

Yeast
A raising agent. Yeast is a fungus (saccharomyces cerevisae) which ferments sugars to produce carbon dioxide, which leavens flour mixtures.
