French Toast - Low Fat Recipe

Ingredients:

1/4 cup Egg Beaters or other egg replacements.
1/4 cup nonfat milk
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp cinnamon
2 slices of your favorite day-old bread cut slightly on the diagonal
Vegetable spray

Directions:

  • In a small bowl, beat the first 5 ingredients together.
  • Take a slice of bread and soak it briefly in the egg mixture.
  • On a hot, vegetable sprayed skillet brown your French toast lightly on both sides. (To prevent sticking, avoid flipping bread over until it has slightly browned.)
  • Serve with topping of your choice.

Optional toppings: fresh fruit, low fat syrup
